2.3 Information from Third Parties

3. How We Use Information
- Provide and operate SEO, GEO, chatbot, automation, and analytics services you purchase.
- Generate reports, insights, and recommendations.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues.
- Process payments, manage subscriptions, and deliver invoices.
- Communicate about updates, feature changes, and support.
- Improve and develop new features based on aggregated, de-identified trends.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
4. AI Processing & Model Use
Customer Content & Model Training: We do not use your Customer Content (your inputs, data, or outputs) to train our proprietary or third-party foundation models unless you explicitly opt-in or instruct us to do so in writing.
- Processing: To deliver features (e.g., keyword clustering, schema drafting, content briefs, chatbot flows), your inputs may be processed by Molaison AI systems and vetted third-party AI providers acting as processors.
- Safety: We apply data minimization and access controls. Where feasible, we remove direct identifiers prior to AI processing.
- Configurable: You can request stricter data handling for sensitive projects (e.g., redaction, on-request deletion, storage limitations).
5. Cookies & Tracking
5.1 Types of Cookies
- Essential: required for core site features (authentication, security).
- Analytics: help measure usage and performance.
- Functionality: remember preferences, improve experience.
- Advertising: (optional) personalize marketing and measure campaign effectiveness.
5.2 Your Choices
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Some features may not work without essential cookies. Where required, we present a cookie banner with choices.
Manage preferences: Use your browser settings or our cookie banner (if shown). For ad choices, see aboutads.info and youradchoices.ca.
6. How We Share Information
- Service Providers (Processors): hosting, payment processing, analytics, email/SMS, customer support, and vetted AI providers—only as needed to perform services.
- Legal & Safety: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect our rights, users, or the public.
- Business Transfers: in mergers, acquisitions, or asset sales, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction.
We do not sell your personal information in the traditional sense. For state law definitions of “sell”/“share” (e.g., CPRA cross-context behavioral advertising), see Section 10.
7. Data Retention
- Account & Billing: kept while your account is active and as required for tax/audit/legal compliance.
- Service Inputs/Outputs: retained for your use and to support troubleshooting; you may request deletion subject to legal/backup constraints.
- Logs & Telemetry: typically 12–18 months, unless needed longer for security or legal reasons.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data (encryption in transit, access controls, backups, and monitoring). No method is 100% secure. Please use strong passwords and keep credentials confidential.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal information
- Port your data (obtain a copy in a portable format)
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent
To exercise rights, contact us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity and scope of the request.
10. U.S. State Disclosures (CCPA/CPRA & Similar)
If you are a resident of California (or states with similar laws like CO, CT, UT, VA), you may have additional rights, including:
- Right to Know: categories of personal information collected, sources, purposes, and disclosures.
- Right to Delete/Correct: request deletion or correction of personal information, subject to exceptions.
- Right to Opt-Out of “Sale/Sharing”: opt-out of disclosures considered “selling” or “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive PI: where applicable under law.
- Non-Discrimination: we will not discriminate for exercising your rights.
Opt-Out
To opt-out of “sale”/“sharing” under state definitions, email [email protected] with subject “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.” If we deploy a site link (e.g., “Do Not Sell or Share”), you may also use that control.
11. International Transfers
We are U.S.-based. If you access our services from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the U.S. and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., contractual clauses) for international transfers.
12. Children’s Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13 (or the age defined by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us to request deletion.
13. “Do Not Track”
Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is no consistent industry standard, we do not respond to DNT signals. We honor legally required opt-out mechanisms where applicable.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will change the “Effective Date” above and, where required, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the services after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
